Volunteering

Being part of a student run organisation such as CCQN brings opportunities to volunteer.  Since none of our officers get paid to provide their valuable time and services, many students volunteer in various capacities at events such as sausage sizzles, movie nights, political campaigns and of course organising via the general meetings held by the CCQN.  Some might even say you will get a taste for activism, as we stride towards equality in the law.  Continued voluntary support from members who help organise and create the wonderful events and activities is at the centre of the Cross Campus Queer Network.

If you do have a taste for it, there are many further opportunities in the community to volunteer for many good reasons.  Organisations such as the Western Australian Aids Council and the Freedom Centre have volunteer training for their various programs.   Each university has an Ally Network which requires volunteers on events such as Orientation Day, GLCS and GALE just to name a few of our local active community initiatives that rely on volunteers.  This section is to provide data about the possibility of volunteering, providing opportunities and information for students who might be interested.  Just follow the links below.
